WBSS final Prograis-Taylor: Conor Benn unfazed by opponent’s identity
Conor Benn isn’t worried that he’ll face when he returns to action in The O2.
If he struggles the Regis Prograis-Josh Taylor undercard on October 26, benn will probably be aiming for his 16th win, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The Ilford welterweight has yet to find his opponent but insists that there will be one outcome regardless of who the ring is shared by him with.
“It’s crazy, my career has been a rollercoaster. It feels like I have been a pro for a very long while. It’s only been four or five years but it’s already been dramatic, it has been so crazy,” said Benn.
“I have been dropped twice and managed to get up off the picture and put the other opponent down two and gone the 10 rounds. It is these little matters. I have been cut, I’ve had accidents. I am only 22, so it will not be nothing new to me, when I am 25, 26.
“As I get old man-strength is arriving and people will get laid out clean. They ai not going to be getting back up.
“My final fight was anticipated to be a tough struggle and once I looked at him I thought,’I am in for a difficult fight here, I’m bang in issue’, and then he came out flying the first around and I thought,’here we go’, but I was able to get him out of there.
“If people want to come and also have it with me, then I’ll get it back with them. So I ain’t really concerned about that they place in front of me if I go down they’re going down with me.
“Whoever they place in front of me it is likely to be the identical outcome. I’m going to move in there and do a job and one job only.”
