Jake Hastie’s second-half equaliser enabled Rotherham to come from behind to claim a Sky Bet League One draw against Sunderland.
With Marc McNulty locating the net, sunderland made the start.
The Scotsman was introduced by alim Ozturk’s fast free-kick and with scored in Accrington in the weekend win of his side, he left it in four times as he slotted past Daniel Iversen two goals.
The hosts should have been two goals into the great midway through the first half, however Aiden McGeady’s tame effort was saved while Clark Robertson scythed down Lynden Gooch to concede a penalty.
Rotherham might have had a spot-kick of their own when Luke O’Nien seemed to handle in the area, and having steadied the ship after their horrible start, the people should have had an equaliser on the stroke of half-time, only for Matt Crooks to venture over from six yards out.
They levelled taking advantage of several hesitancy from Ozturk that enabled Freddie Ladapo to acquire ownership.
He teed Hastie from the box up, and the Millers forward drilled a finish to the roof of the net.
