Marc Marquez has won his MotoGP world title – and his fourth in a row – on Sunday after success in Thailand.
The 26-year-old, who was taken to hospital following a crash in practice sealed his crown to spare.
The Spaniard needed to win at least two points more than closest rival Andrea Dovizioso – and did so as the finished fourth.
Fabio Quartararo was next, using Maverick Vinales in the third.
Frenchman Quartararo and Marquez passed about the previous corner of this the lap – but Marquez was able to retake the cause for his 53rd MotoGP race triumph.
I had been likely the weekend to get the race, not think about the championship, said Marquez.
My target was to obtain the perfect way to win on the raceand that is what I did.
Amazing year. Each of the staff did an incredible job. Now its time to enjoy and observe the title.
The race will take place in Japan on 20.
