Manchester United transfer targets: Mario Mandzukic and Callum Wilson high on strikers list
Callum Wilson and mario Mandzukic are high in the striker goals ahead of the January transfer window of Manchester United.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently admitted the team will look to signal up a goalscorer in the year and Sky Sports News understands they are currently continuing to monitor Juventus Mandzukic along with the Wilson of Bournemouth.
Mandzukic will be available as soon as the window re-opens after turning moves down into United, Paris Saint-Germain along with a club at Qatar based on Sky at Italy.
The Croatian has only less than two years and was not contained in Juventus Champions League group and has not played yet under new boss Maurizio Sarri either.
Wilson, 27, has over three years left with his own Cherries bargain but would fall in line with Uniteds policy of trying to recruit top English ability – and hes scored five goals in seven Premier League matches throughout Bournemouths remarkable start to the campaign.
Sky Sports News reported at the summer as they believed replacements that the Moussa Dembele of Lyon was just another player on the record of United.
Lukaku was to Juventus and, according to Sky from Italy in July, United along with the Italian club discussed a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala – a top goal for Tottenham and a player who has made two starts that term.
Uniteds 4-0 triumph over Chelsea on the opening day is the game where they have scored more than once since April, and Marcus Rashfords variant has come in for criticism, even although Anthony Martial was out for more than a month without trauma.
Solskjaer recently said:You do not need to be a rocket scientist to know it is a forward we are going to attempt to recruit next moment. We are searching for some imagination and goals, but they [signings ] have to be the right one.
There were strikers available [in the summer] but not those we wanted. We could not get the one we needed.
Solskjaer has also been credited with the interest in emerging Norweigian striker Erling Haaland in RB Salzburg, although reports elsewhere this week have connected United with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner along with Barcelona Ousmane Dembele ahead.
