After making solid strides toward one of both NL Wild Card slots the last week, the New York Mets took one large step right back in a lopsided loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday and will face yet another tough lefty Saturday with time running out to their playoff chase.
The sportsbooks do like New York’s likelihood of at least leveling this 3-game group with Jacob deGrom (9-8, 2.70) on the mound in Citi Field. Most shops are taking the Mets about -130 on the cash line despite the fact LA newcomer Hyun-Jin Ryu (12-5, 2.45) has regularly mastered the New York lineup earlier.
