League of Legends Worlds Group Stage Day Two Round-Up
Catch up on What you missed from Day Two of the League Combined with That Which Zeyzal and Jankos Create of their Own Group.
Teams out of Group A eventually kicked their Worlds effort off and they surely didnt disappoint, but it SKT who proved to be the most notable side of the group point.
SKT and RNG showed fans why Group C has been dubbed as the type of death. Even though it was the primary seed who emerged victorious at the end, RNG definitely did not make it easy for them.
Both sides fought hard and dirty for 43 moments in whats going to go down into history as one of the most exciting matches at Ms until RNG were caught by a dual teleport from SKT, who promptly ended the game with a mere 100 golden guide.
After losing on Saturday to SKT , it was imperative if they need a fighting chance to get out of Groups that Fnatic get themselves a win over Clutch Gaming – and thats exactly what they did Sunday.
Determined to create Yuumi and Garen work, Broxah is put by Fnatic alongside Nemesis Akali. Huni looked promising on Tristana – that a champion Faker dominated to bring down Fnatic.
Vulcans Bard also caused some trouble for the bot lane of Fnatic however a Elder struggle gave them the advantage over Clutch. Nothing is guaranteed at Worlds and the European seeds have much to grow on after their shaky performance on Sunday.
By taking down Team Liquid in Group D, Invictus Gambling picked up their second win of the championship.
The American side could procure early blood when the three-man dive onto Doublelift and CoreJJ of IG didnt quite go his way. For a little while, the two sides looked – Liquid managed to shoot Rift Herald while still IG came off with the first turret.
After they secured the game closed out with 25, the balance was tipped in the favour of IG. They will carry on Damwon Gambling on Monday and are high in Group D with a 2-0 record.
Damwon Gambling and ahq e-Sports Club gave us a few of the games of the day. There were only 15 kills in the game and the Alex of ahq admits that both sides made mistakes and ahq did not get a opportunity to get into the flow.
He explained:It felt like a pity because we didnt even get to team fight them, and we dropped. I just feel like there are some issues with our macro game and at the stage that is laning, we had lots of errors as well.
The rest of Group D are very strong. Weve got four games left and I would give it a 20 percent chance that we would win a few them. To be honest, which makes it from groups will be very tough for us now.
Finally, G2 Esports and Group A kicked their Worlds effort off on Europes best put and Sunday .
G2 produced their mark in the beginning although it was not the cleanest of matches and his group managed to settle in the game well despite Caps expiring to Chovy Irelia.
And Jankos, who told fans to not exceed clubs that are Korean, is thrilled to conquer an LCK facet on stage early in the championship.
He said:I thought it was going to become quite tough. We did triumph as a win from Griffin and I feel both teams choked although it was hard. For sure, winning the game in precisely the exact same time winning against a group that is Korean and on stage makes me happy.
But it does not really mean anything though since we still have five games to go along with Griffin can still take revenge but I only hope we win the Group Stage and go into the Quarter Finals and perform best of fives.
Last up was Cloud9 who beat Hong Kong Attitude in the days longest match. Both sides went back and forth for 37 kills and nearly 47 minutes but it was evident that both clubs lacked in several departments to have the ability to close out the match.
C9s service Zeyzal admits they might have drafted better to deal with Yuumi bot lane and HKAs Garen.
He explained:The game was overly long. The draft was very tough for us although we believed it would be a bit more easy. It was not particularly easy for all of us to participate on Garen or kill him.
C9 will soon be taking in what could be a crucial decider on C9s chances however Zeyzal is convinced.
He explained:I think itll probably be us G2 to get out of groups. I think that I personally expect us and we need to make it out. I can not actually say whether we would be seed or seed – it depend on the way we perform against G2 tomorrow.
We can definitely beat them though and draft will matter a lot. It would be pretty funny if we beat them just because theyve been shitting on NA year!
