An Italian television channel says it will not use one of its pundits when that he made a comment about Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.
Speaking on TopCalcio24, Luciano Passirani stated:”If you move one-on-one with him he will murder you.
“The only means to come up against him would be maybe give him 10 bananas to eat…”
Programme director Fabio Ravezzani stated, despite Passirani’s”immediate apologies” that”he would no longer participate on our broadcasts”.
Lukaku, who moved from Manchester United to Inter helped his side .
“Mr Passirani is 80 years old and also to compliment Lukaku he used a metaphor that turned out to be racist,” added Ravezzani.
“I believe it was a terrible absence of momentary lucidity.
