Hull’s Angus MacDonald diagnosed with early stages of bowel cancer
Hull City have announced that guardian Angus MacDonald was diagnosed with early stages of prostate cancer.
The Sky Bet Championship club said in a statement that MacDonald, 26, had shown”great power of character” in his response to the diagnosis.
“Hull City are unhappy to announce that Angus Macdonald was diagnosed with early stages of bowel cancer,” a club statement .
“Angus has shown great strength of personality in the way he has reacted to this information. The Tigers family join together in revealing Angus love and will encourage him.
“His physical and mental health are our number one priority at this moment now.
“The team kindly asks that fans and the media respect the privacy of Angus and his family at this time. Please also note that any further updates on his progress will be offered by the bar.”
MacDonald has made 14 Championship appearances and joined Hull from January 2018 in Barnsley.
