Harry Kane says Tottenham have not learned from their errors as soon as they threw away a 2-0 lead against Olympiakos in the Champions League.
Last year’s beaten finalists were held to a 2-2 draw in Greece despite leading throughout Kane’s penalty and Lucas Moura conclusion.
“You can see why the manager is frustrated,” said England forward Kane.
“He’s been here for five decades now and we’re still making similar mistakes as we had been the very first calendar year.”
Tottenham conceded a 2-0 lead on 1 and Kane stated the team needed to improve.
“We aren’t young any longer, we are not inexperienced, we’ve played in big games for club and country,” he added.
“We’ve got to try to find a means to go around it and improve and get better. That’s all we can attempt to do.”
Contested his team’s attitude after dropping two things. His side game in Group B is in the home to German champions Bayern Munich on 1 October.
“At the beginning of this year we’re conceding a lot of chances and a lot of targets and we must alter this,” said the Argentine.
“The only way we can change is being harder from ourselves. That’s the way we’re likely to approach and be consistent.
“Training should be harder. Feeling harder.
“I feel really disappointed. From the first half, I wasn’t satisfied with our operation. In the beginning we had a strategy and we did not respect the program.
“That’s what frustrated me and that’s precisely what I told the players at half-time.”
Former Tottenham midfielder Michael Brown additional on BBC Radio 5 live:”I stated last year that Spurs had performed extremely well but sadly they’re just not likely to be able to maintain Liverpool and Manchester City, and that’s still the situation. They are just not in the same level.
“They’ve got some wonderful people but as a team collectively, this keeps happening – that they keep slipping up and conceding aims at the incorrect time.
“We are becoming critical of Spurs and in which they have come from, but they have got this brand new stadium and some great players. Can they keep progressing rather than be this selling club”
