Five St Helens players included in Super League’s Dream Team
Have five players.
Salford Red Devils each, Leeds Rhinos and warrington Wolves have two in the 13 and Castleford Tigers’ prop Liam Watts has made the team for first time.
Watts is among nine debutants from the course of 2019 – the most since 2016.
St Helens’ Tommy Makinson is really the most seasoned, which makes his appearance.
Warrington Wolves’ Daryl Clark (2014), Wigan Warriors’ Liam Farrell (2015) and St Helens’ Luke Thompson (2018) are responsible for the second time.
Super League CEO Robert Elstone stated:”it is a stellar line-up and a group that highlights most of our modern-day greats.
“The Dream Team tells the story of the Super League year and this has possibly been the best ever.
“We have seen the dominance of a brilliant St Helens, the emerging battle by Salford Red Devils plus a spread of talent from different clubs which has underlined the competitiveness and unpredictability of this group.
“Not surprisingly it’s also got fans speaking – and asserting – and with so many great alternatives, it’s made for some healthy discussion.
“Congratulations to all of those selected. It is well-deserved.”
